Campaign Cabinet

Fundraising and community outreach efforts of the Department of Psychiatry are guided by a dedicated and visionary group of individuals who have contributed their expertise to assist the Department  in achieving its vision to provide the best education and foster the most innovative research to ensure that the next generation of patients and clinicians will have a better experience. In Toronto, the future of psychiatry is happening now; it lives in our Department and promises to be bright and progressive.
 

Jacquie Labatt (Chair)

Jacquie Labatt is a Toronto-based photographer and writer. Her words and images have appeared in a variety of publications including the Economist, the Canadian Press, USA Today, Good Morning America/Yahoo, Huffington Post, the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, Toronto Life, and ELLE Canada.

In addition to photojournalism, Ms. Labatt’s professional experience includes fifteen years as an international marketing executive for two Fortune 500 companies. She is a graduate of McGill University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ms. Labatt and her family have been generous supporters to the Department of Psychiatry, including making a $20 million gift to establish the Labatt Family Network for Research on the Biology of Depression.

In addition to her philanthropic support, Ms. Labatt has been a member of the Department of Psychiatry Campaign Cabinet since 2013. In 2016 she was appointed as the new Chair.
