Coach Resources

In the CBD model of resident training, the Department of Psychiatry has implemented a new role - the Coach!  Each learner in the CBD model is matched with a faculty coach. The learner and faculty coach are encouraged to meet approximately every two months to review the learner's progress. The role of the coach is to:

  • Facilitate a learner's improvement in their clinical performance.
  • Typically does not evaluate the learner.
  • Can support the learner around broader issues such as career planning and wellness - though this is not the primary responsibility.
