RE: AMERICAN COLLEGE OF PSYCHIATRISTS
It is my pleasure to announce that Dr. Gail Robinson has been elected the second Vice-President of the American College of Psychiatrists. Founded in 1963, the American College of Psychiatrists is an association of psychiatrists based in Chicago. It operates annual meetings, publishes a newsletter, presents awards, and organizes the Psychiatry Resident-In-Training Examination (PRITE) for psychiatric residents and the Psychiatrists In-Practice Examination (PIPE) exam for practicing psychiatrists. Membership is decided by current members, with a limit of 750 psychiatrists who have demonstrated excellence in the field of psychiatry, and achieved national recognition in clinical practice, research, academic leadership, or teaching.
Dr. Robinson is a board member of the American Psychiatric Association, and the Group for Advancement of Psychiatry. She is also a member of the Council on Minority Health and Health Disparities, and Chairs the Committee on Gender and Mental Health. The American College of Psychiatrists will no doubt be served very well by Dr. Robinson in this new role. Please join me in congratulating Gail on her latest honour.
