Dr. Joanna Henderson is Director of the Margaret and Wallace McCain Centre for Child, Youth & Family Mental Health at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and Executive Director of Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario. She received her training in School and Clinical Child Psychology from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education of the University of Toronto and is a Senior Scientist at CAMH and Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at U of T. At the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, through the Youth Addiction and Concurrent Disorders Service, Dr. Henderson examines youth substance use behavior, treatment engagement and its intersections with development, mental health and social determinants of health. In addition her research focuses on improving access to high quality, integrated services for youth with substance use and/or mental health concerns and their families. Currently, Dr. Henderson leads a number of projects that aim to improve youth access to services through building and supporting collaborative models of service delivery and youth engagement in system and service planning.
