Research Synopsis

My research focuses on the use of paradigms from cognitive neuroscience and functional neuroimaging to study the neural circuitry of emotion regulation and its impact on cognitive processes, both in healthy aging and in pathological conditions. My aim is to contribute to our knowledge of the neurobiology of depression and dementia in older adults, as well as delineate the functional neuroanatomy underlying the relationship between emotion and cognition.
