Dr. Jo Henderson is Director of the Margaret and Wallace McCain Centre for Child, Youth & Family Mental Health at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and Executive Director of Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario. They received their training in School and Clinical Child Psychology from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education of the University of Toronto and are a Senior Scientist at CAMH and Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at U of T. At the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Dr. Henderson examines youth substance use and mental health needs, treatment engagement and its intersections with development, and social determinants of health. In addition their work focuses on improving access to high quality, integrated services for youth with substance use and/or mental health concerns and their families. Currently, Dr. Henderson leads a number of initiatives that aim to improve youth access to services through building and supporting collaborative models of service delivery and youth engagement in system and service planning.
