I am a clinical psychologist. I received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Ottawa in 1994. I have received formal training and supervision in psychodynamic, experiential, and cognitive behavioral psychotherapies. I am a member of the Sault Area Hospital Dialectical Behavior Therapy consultation team. Since 1995 I have been employed by Sault Area Hospital. At the present time I am Chief psychologist. The majority of my time is spent providing psychological assessment, diagnostic formulations, and psychotherapy. I see both inpatient and outpatient adult patients. I provide both individual and group psychotherapy. I provide clinical training to hospital staff. I have provided training and supervision in psychotherapy to University of Toronto psychiatric residents. I provide clinical lectures to Northern Ontario School of Medicine psychiatric residents. I greatly enjoy my role and enjoy teaching.


Research Synopsis

While in graduate school I was a co-author on publications in the areas of psychotherapy process outcomes, and vocational interests. I was primary author of a publication based on my Ph.D. thesis project; a clinical outcome study investigating the effectiveness of martial therapy on the treatment of low sexual desire in women. I have not been involved in formal research since 1995.
