Dr. Svihra’s clinical work involves Outpatient Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry and Collaborative Mental Health Care with Family Physicians. He is extensively involved in teaching and clinical supervision of medical students and residents.
Dr. Svihra is Medical Director of UHN’s Altum Health’s Mental Health and Wellness Program, which includes the WSIB Concurrent Mood and Substance Programs, WSIB Substance Management Program, and Assessment Services.
He completed his Bachelor of Science in 1999 at Queen’s University, followed by his MD at University of Ottawa in 2003. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at University of Toronto in 2008.
